Prada Boots and Havaianas Flip Flops
Coveteur’s Casting Director Yasmin Coutinho is one of Coveteur’s most mobile staffers—one moment she’s on set in New York, the next she’s dialing in from her home in southern California or the beaches of Hawai’i. And she does it all while looking absolutely fabulous and unbothered, usually decked out in a matching trouser-and-top set, her signature Prada boots, and some tasteful bling. Today, she reveals her go-to scent, her favorite underrated vacation spot, and the story behind her weakness for shoes and accessories. — Maraya
SIGHT
The Cook Islands: I've recently visited the Cook Islands and it's the most beautiful place I've ever seen in my life. It's still relatively untapped in terms of tourism, and it was cheap to get to if you depart from Hawai'i. My favorite island there was Aitutaki—don't sleep on it.
SOUND
Anything by Reneé Rap: My guilty pleasure is musical theatre, and I just love to see an amazing vocalist make it as a pop star straight from Broadway.
TASTE
West10West: West10West is my best friend's restaurant in the West Village—he opened it about a year ago and it's light Australian-inspired dishes with the sexiest ambiance. I am not even being biased when I say it is the tastiest food I've had in all of NYC.
SMELL
Santal 33 by Le Labo: Like pretty much everyone else on earth, I religiously wear Santal 33 by Le Labo. It's been my scent for about five years and I still get stopped and complimented each time. Even though it's widely used and loved by many, I do feel it smells different on every person, so.... I'm keeping it.
FEEL
Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream: The Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream is the only piece of skincare I use and swear by. I used to have a 5-step routine during the pandemic (when we all had the time!) but now I see that my skin is thriving simply on the Tatcha. Everyone raves about Japanese skincare and I can vouch for it now.
YASMIN’S ESSENTIALS
I have to admit, I'm not a big shopper. Most of the clothing items I have and love are pieces from about 10-15 years ago that still fit and are classic and timeless. I don't consider myself very trendy, and if I have to describe my personal style, it'd be either loud prints (paying homage to my Brazilian roots) or classy corporate wear (boss lesbian vibes?). In fact, sometimes I look like I'm going to work even when hanging out with friends. I also spend a lot of time in the sun, so the majority of clothes shopping I do is probably for bikinis. My biggest binge is also on shoes and accessories (as you can see by the list)—I can't help but buy a lot of shoes, and I have about over 200 pairs. My grandma, who is my biggest fashion inspiration, always said that as long as you have good shoes and a good bag, you can make any outfit work, so I think I've always focused my shopping efforts on accessories. I also love jewelry—I only wear gold—and would never leave the house without my rings, bracelets, necklace, and some small hoops.
Any underwear by Cuup So soft!
Havaianas I'm Brazilian so I can't live without at least 10 pairs.
My Ugg Tazz slippers Ok, ok, I know everyone has them.
Louis Vuitton Neverfull My work tote.
“I don't like low-rise jeans and I'll always stand by that (I am sorry to everyone that loves).”

VANITY
I don't wear a lot of makeup and when I do, it's never heavy. But I do have favorite products I buy over and over again. I'm always in the sun so finding a sunscreen that works for me is a must (my favorite being the Supergoop).
Luxury/Splurge: Le Labo Santal 33 Eau de Parfum
Drugstore Discovery: Drunk Elephant Sunshine Drops
Cult Classic: Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss
Indie Option: Refy Duo Brush
All Time Ole Reliable: Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40
