5 Things Vagabon Is Into Based on the 5 Senses

Laetitia Tamko, AKA Vagabon, is a self-taught songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. With her latest album, Sorry I Haven’t Called—for which she is currently on tour—she ventures deeper into groovy, experimental pop, centering pleasure and healing on songs like “Carpenter” and “Lexicon.”  Here, she shares five things she is currently into, including her favorite restaurant in Lisbon and the scent that reminds her of home while she’s on the road.

Force Majeure, Directed by Ruben Östlund: This film rocked my world. I’m an avid Letterboxd user—being asked to go on the official Letterboxd podcast has been a highlight of my life. This film is my current number one in my top four. It’s funny, it’s provoking, it has heart, it’s human, and sometimes it’s ugly!

Straightiolab: I recently discovered the podcast Straightiolab and I’ve really been enjoying that. I love to listen to friends talking to each other, it makes me feel social.

Santelmo: I’m currently in Lisbon and I recommend Santelmo here; I feel at home there. It’s a small restaurant with good ambiance, great food, and employees who look happy to be there.  Menu highlights at Santelmo are the french fries and the cheesecake. You might think, french fries, what's so special about that? Well, I consider myself somewhat of an expert. These fries are perfectly indulgent and cooked to this golden yellow color but aren’t soaked in oil. it's definitely for the potato fans. The cheesecake is decadent, not too sweet, and the perfect end to the meal.

👃 Smell 😶‍🌫️

Feu Du Bois by Diptyque: I’m touring my new album Sorry I Haven’t Called, and my favorite tour hack is to bring a candle from home along with me as I sleep in all these different hotel rooms around the world. This way, I can make every room I’m in smell like my home. For me, it’s Feu Du Bois by Diptyque.
