Sintra Martins’s Prada Picks
After founding her brand Saint Sintra four years ago in her early twenties, Sintra Martins has already established herself as a cool-girl favorite. Her designs have been worn by the likes of Bella Hadid, Olivia Rodrigo, Sydney Sweeney, Ethel Cain, and Kali Uchis, and have garnered her a cult following. Here, she shares the Saint Sintra piece she wears almost every day, the Y2K thriller you should add to your watch list, and some amazing vintage Prada finds. — Maraya

5 X 5
5 Things Sintra Martins Is Currently Into Based on the 5 Senses
👁️ Sight 👀
Demonlover: I recently watched Demonlover with my bf, an erotic psychological thriller shot almost entirely in blue tones and nauseatingly on the nose with its Y2K cultural touchstones. It stars young Chloë Sevigny as a boisterous French-speaking American secretary slash corporate mole sent to orchestrate a human trafficking scheme for her Machiavellian boss played by Gina Gershon.
🎧 Sound 👂
Julius Eastman: My friend Mike introduced me to Julius Eastman, a minimalist composer from Ithaca who performed with Meredith Monk at the Lincoln Center and did recitations of John Cage in Buffalo with the Creative Associates. He died destitute at age 49, alienated and ostracized despite his antemortem success. He is survived by praise of his dissolute legacy.
👅 Taste 😋
Spicy Village: I have an evergreen list of restaurants to try, right now top of mind: Daniel, Gem/Ha's Dac Biet all of March, and Ilis. My go-to for a quick bite is Spicy Village which is right around the corner from my mom's apartment.
👃 Smell 😶🌫️
Tilia by Clandestine Laboratory: Clandestine Laboratory's Tilia is my next big perfume splurge since Byredo M/Mink is empty and out of production.
🤌 Feel 🤏
Saint Sintra and Prada: Obvious plug but also sincerely, Sintra unisex button-down and a-line midi effectively constitute my uniform. I otherwise shop second-hand, some of my favorites are this Prada top, or this Prada top, or this Prada top.
SINTRA MARTINS’S WARDROBE ESSENTIALS
I don't shop nearly as much as I should! My wardrobe consists of mostly T-shirts I bought at Jack's 99¢.
Thom Browne Leather Jacket: One of my prized possessions, an early prototype of this Thom Browne leather jacket I got whilst interning there.
Saint Sintra Classic A-Line Midi: You can't go wrong with a classic black a-line skirt; mine from Saint Sintra is made of a deadstock silk-wool Mikado. I wear it almost every day.
Vintage Levi's: From Episode.
Gucci Ebal Chain Loafer: Gucci Horsebit Loafer with 'Ice Lolly' inscribed on the heel.
