Lily Chapman’s Pregnancy Picks

I’m not typically one for parasocial voyeurism, but when Lily Chapman announced she was pregnant, I let out an audible squeal. Wholesome news is hard to come by these days, and seeing Chapman—who I watched navigate the dating rollercoaster via TikTok for years (all while looking fabulous btw)—so glowy and happy as she revealed the news to her friends and family was a lovely dose of sweetness. Here, Chapman shares a few of her favorite items in her pregnancy wardrobe as well as the beauty products she has stayed loyal to for a decade. — Maraya

SIGHT

Pinterest: I’m… really, really late on this one but I’m obsessed with my Pinterest boards lately. I never spent much time on the platform but now that I’ve let the algorithm get to know me it is my first stop for inspiration. When I’m shopping for gifts, decor, outfit inspo, or just something to doodle my Pinterest home page is my first stop. It’s entertaining and feels productive—win-win.

SOUND

Børns: I’ve circled back to the Børns obsession that took over my life in 2016 and I am not. Mad. At. It. Every single song on the Dopamine album is a gem, and I’ve been shuffling through them non-stop. If the vibes of “mysterious cool girl in the airport” and “spring reawakening” had a baby, it would be this Børns album.

TASTE

Jalapeño Bagel With Cream Cheese: Listen—there are a lot of people doing bagels wrong. Lucky LLama in Carpinteria, CA is doing it right. Crispy toasted bagel, perfect amount of spice, toasted cheddar outside, and gooey cheddar core, all topped off with whipped cream cheese… unreal. Don’t believe me? Ask Ashton Kutcher (he’s a regular).

SMELL

Santal 33 by Le Labo: It is always and will always be Santal 33 by Le Labo. I used to be a nanny for the most badass mom in Seattle—she was an executive for a huge company and also an amazing mother. Every morning I’d pick her baby up and he would be in the chicest little outfits and smell so good. I eventually had to ask WHY he smelled so amazing—the answer? Santal 33 soap. A few years later I finally got my own bottle and the smell brings me joy every day.

FEEL

Goal Sneakers by Coolway: My new Goal sneakers from Coolway. They’re bright red and pink and bring a cool splash of life to even my laziest of looks. I also have way, way too much fun pairing my socks with them each day. They’re a permanent feature in my Instagram content because I can’t stop taking pictures of them.

LILY’S ESSENTIALS

It’s rare that I have items to link to because I thrift 80-90% of my clothing, but since getting pregnant, there have been a few times I needed a new look (like… pants that fit) and fast. I love bright pieces made of interesting fabrics that can pair well with a lot of things. I need to be comfortable more than anything else, so if I’m buying it, you better believe it’s gonna be a piece you can wear out for a full day of travel and feel chic yet relaxed for 12+ hours at a time. I like outfits that feel versatile, something I could wear for a casual brunch and easily transition into a nighttime look.

“We… probably shouldn’t have social media.”

VANITY

The easier the better is my permanent approach to makeup. I’ve been using more or less the same products/routine since 2014, and I don’t plan on breaking tradition anytime soon. A good concealer, liquid eyeliner, and a raisin lip, and I’m happy as can be. I love to travel more than anything, so keeping my skin and makeup simple enough to pack in a carry-on is crucial. The Raisin Rapture lipstick has been tried and true for me for years now, and while I love a fun new lip product I always go back to my $7 L’Oréal lip!
