Pilates and Gucci
When Georgia Wood Murphy, who recently opened the ultra-chic, exclusive TERA Studio & Pilates Club, is not thinking about wellness, she indulges another love: that of fashion. Here, she shares her current obsessions, including the latest Gucci collection, a recent footwear splurge, and her favorite style podcast. — Maraya
SIGHT
Palm Royale on Apple TV: I have only been to Palm Beach once, but this show makes me want to eat an overpriced shrimp salad and sip on skinny margaritas outside at Swiftys again. The fashion, opulence, and unexpected drama in the show make me want to transport back to the ’60s in Palm Beach. I turned this show on as a mindless watch after a long day at the studio, expecting to use it just as background noise. I found myself wide awake at 2 AM finishing the last episode.
SOUND
Let's Get Dressed with Liv Perez: As I live in what seems like a Pilates, wellness-obsessed world 95% of the time, I love listening to podcasts that have nothing to do with either of the two. I love fashion and styling, and love listening to Liv on her podcast. I discovered Liv and her podcast when Tae Park, one of my all-time favorite brands, was a guest earlier this year. She has the best guests on and is one of the chicest ever.
TASTE
Date Better Peanut Butter Crunch: I did a staycation at The Fifth Avenue Hotel last weekend and these were in the in-suite "maxi" bar. They are the perfect combination of sweet and salty and have the cleanest ingredients. Not to mention the chic packaging instantly drew my attention. I have trekked back to Happier Grocery more times than I want to admit to re-purchase this week.
SMELL
Dreamour Dhabi Single Wick Candle: This candle is the epitome of swanky luxury. Every person who steps foot into my Pilates studio, TERA Studio & Pilates Club, instantly comments on the smell thanks to this candle. The candles are 100% natural and the packaging is stunning. I burn through at least one per week and use the containers after.
FEEL
The Row Mesh Flats: I went back and forth on these shoes (and style) for ages, but when I saw them on sale on Matches Fashion I have never hit 'purchase' faster. They melt to your feet like butter and even in New York City it feels like you are walking around barefoot. While part of me feels like I am styling flippers, the other part of me feels chic AF when people ask if my shoes are from Amazon and I respond, "No. They are The Row."
CURRENTLY COVETING
“For those who know my Pilates Studio, TERA Studio & Pilates Club, you know I am obsessed with the color Burgundy. So much so that I have coined it to be called ‘TERA’ red. So when I woke up Tuesday morning and opened up my Instagram to see photos from the show in London with "TERA" red I literally gasped. Gab Waller said recently on a podcast that Gucci is making a comeback and consider me now their biggest fan. TERA x Gucci collab?” |
