5 Things Caroline Dunn Is Currently Into Based on the 5 Senses
👁️ Sight 👀
Bright Young Women by Jessica Knoll: I picked up Bright Young Women by Jessica Knoll at a Hudson News in JFK before a recent cross-country flight with very little knowledge of the plot. About a quarter of the way through, it became clear that this novel is loosely based on the crimes of Ted Bundy told through the lens of several women close to his victims, and the characters totally sucked me in. I've been recommending it to anybody who likes a suspenseful crime drama.
🎧 Sound 👂
Hatch Alarms: I have joined the cult of Hatch and absolutely love the white noise and wake up sound features. I was skeptical about whether the sunrise light and gentle alarm would actually wake me up, but I've been falling asleep to the sound of the "calm ocean" and starting my day with the light of a "spring sunrise" and tune of "lovely chimes" for a few months now, and I don't plan to revisit the trauma of my previous iPhone alarms.
👅 Taste 😋
Bone Broth by Springbone Kitchen: I was introduced to Springbone Kitchen in the Coveteur office a few weeks ago and am embarrassed to admit how many times I have had their bone broth delivered through Uber Eats since. It is the perfect antidote for the harsh winter and, in my opinion, is medicinal and should be covered by insurance.
👃 Smell 😶🌫️
369 Eau de Parfum by Dauphinette: Dauphinette gifted the brand's new 369 Eau de Parfum to attendees of their NYFW show prior to its launch last fall, and I have been spritzing it ever since. I'm now waiting on the restock of this earthy citrus scent in the full size to replenish my supply.
🤌 Feel 🤏
J. Crew Camp Socks: I have been wearing J. Crew Camp Socks since high school. I don't like to have my bare feet touch the wood floor for even a second during the winter.
CAROLINE’S WARDROBE ESSENTIALS
I love to have fun with my spring/summer wardrobe, but keep it very simple in the winter. I've invested in a few good pieces, like Anine Bing jeans and Chanel flats, that I wear all the time, and I've been very big on J. Crew sweaters this season. I'm sticking almost entirely to neutral colors right now, but definitely getting the itch to go a little bolder for spring.
Shop the Essentials: Anine Bing Gavin Jeans, Chanel Ballerina Flats, J. Crew Cable-Knit Cashmere Sweater, Gucci Jackie Bag, The Clear Cut Diamond Tennis Bracelet

Caroline’s Beauty Go-To’s
Similarly to the way that I think about my wardrobe investments, I look at beauty splurges based on cost-per-use. I have used my Dyson Airwrap several times per week for years now, and swear by it for anybody with otherwise flat hair. The Augustinus Bader mask has lasted almost a year and is a lifesaver for dry winter skin, and I would personally need all of these products (maybe sans eyeliner) if I was ever stuck on a desert island.
Luxury/Splurge: Augustinus Bader The Face Cream Mask
Drugstore Discovery: Nyx Professional Makeup Slim Eye Pencil
Cult Classic: Dyson Airwrap™ Multi-Styler Complete Long
Indie Option: Hey Dewy Wellness Humidifier
All Time Ole Reliable: Limited Edition Balm Dotcom
