This Photographer’s Favorite Perfume

SIGHT

Poor Things (2023): Poor Things! I went to see that movie in the theatre and was so changed that I went back to see it again the very next day.

SOUND

Italo Disco: Italo Disco always! I ran a blog in high school where I reviewed Italo Disco songs and I’m still just as obsessed. I have an Italo Spotify playlist and I force everyone to listen to it on all my film sets.

TASTE

Leftovers: Cold pizza/cold pasta/cold burritos. Sorry, but some foods are just better cold the next day!

SMELL

Stora Skuggan Moonmilk Perfume: Okay, don't tell anyone, this is a secret. I'm in love with the Stora Skuggan Moonmilk perfume. It's literally named after glittery stalactites in limestone caves. It's kind of musky and kind of androgynous and I'm a huge fan

FEEL

Glossier's Futuredew Serum &  Chopova Lowena: Right now, for beauty, I love Glossier's Futuredew Serum. It makes me dewy and shiny (in a good way!) and sometimes I just put that on and nothing else! For clothing, I'm Chopova Lowena's biggest fan. I bought a carabiner skirt from them three years ago and it's still heavily in rotation. I like outfits that are part edgy and part casual, so I often throw on the skirt and an old band tee and there's my outfit! When I wear this skirt out, I get a million compliments because it's such a unique and eye-catching piece.

THE SNAPSHOT

Here are two photos. The first one, Alexa and Maya, was taken in 2014. This was when I was first starting to set up photoshoots and take pictures of my friends. For this shoot, we snuck into my high school's bathroom and took photos until we got caught.

This second one, Amelia and Olivia, was taken two summers ago. We drove up to a lagoon and created a story about two girls skipping school to hang out in the sun.
